A New Regiment!!

Well this is the start of something I don’t have much experience with. I have always been in shape and active but have never needed to work out. I noticed it becoming a lot tougher at about age 32 and started gaining a little weight. I am now 37 and decided I needed to start a work-out regiment.

I like to swim and cycle and I am hoping to one day enjoy running (right now I consider that the anti-christ). I am goal oriented so I decided to pick a triathlon sprint in about 6 months to work towards. I just started on Saturday the April 18th. I am starting with cycling. My first two rides were about 3-4 miles. Today I completed my 3rd ride at a little over 5 miles. I am working to increase that to 8 miles next week and hoping to be around 10 in week three. Once I am sustaining 10+ miles I will begin mixing in some running and swiming.

Having never had a regiment like this before I am hoping that I can stay with it along with a very hectic life. I know a lot of you out there are going through the same thing. I encourage everyone to stick with it and hopefully we will all achieve our goals!

Sounds like a great plan… by the way, I really encourage you to pick an event, sign up for it, and then you really have a goal that you must stay on target for… that will make the workouts have more purpose.

Keep up the great work!
